Venus ISD serves 2321 students and is located 25 miles south of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Once a rural farming area, Venus is growing rapidly in population and quality. The Venus Independent School District has been committed to providing excellence in education for its students since it was founded in 1914.
Venus ISD is fortunate to be a step off the beaten path, yet close enough to have ready access to all that Dallas and Fort Worth have to offer. We maintain treasured local values while placing access to the world in the hands of our students. Our school is consistently growing in quality, as our community is expanding.

VMS student Allison Guzman Perez was recently announced by Future Engineers as one of 20 finalists in the AEOP Veterans Appreciation Challenge.
We ♥ Veterans Pin Design Challenge Announces Competition Winners
The “We ♥ Veterans Pin Design Challenge,” a joint effort of the Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) and Future Engineers, today announced the 2023 challenge winners. In the second year of this competition, students from across the country in grades four through 12 put their creativity and engineering skills to the test to design 3D pin that gives thanks to our U.S. military veterans.
